ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the levels of influence of the School Administrator’s Personality Traits and Characteristics in Port Area Elementary School in terms of Physical, Social, Emotional and Moral traits as well as to know the levels of morale of the teachers and to know if there is a significant influence between School Administrators Personality Traits and Characteristics on Teacher’s Morale.

The researcher adopted descriptive and quantitative methods in eliciting data. The respondents were the teachers of Port Area Elementary School with a total population of twenty-seven (27). The result of the survey was tabulated in order to note points of agreement in a tabular and systematic form.

This study found out that the school administrator’s physical, emotional and social traits were very high, except for the moral traits which the verbal description was only high; however, the level of personality traits and characteristics of the school administrator in Port Area Elementary school showed positive results which entail good behavioral leadership towards the school administrator and the teachers’ level of morale were very high.

Based on the finding, it shows that there is satisfaction at work and in leadership, as well as, a good impact on the personality traits and characteristics of the school administrator. Furthermore, Physical and Social traits of the school administrator have no significant influence on teacher’s morale while in terms of emotional and moral traits showed that there was a significant influence of the school administrator on teacher’s morale in Port Area Elementary School when the variables are taken separately or one by one. However, when variables are taken jointly, there was a statistical significant influence on the administrator’s traits and characteristics towards teacher’s morale. Henceforth, this can be conditional that the administrator’s traits and characteristics have significant bearing to boost up the teacher’s morale of Port Area Elementary School Jolo, Sulu.
