MARCELA R. GONZALES

Bilaran Elementary School

ABSTRACT

This action research aimed to assess the use of project SRB (Search, Read, Bingo) as innovation to enhance the vocabulary level of Grade V pupils at Bilaran Elementary School for the academic year 2024-2025. Specifically, it sought to find out how the use of Project SRB enhanced the learners’ vocabulary level before and after implementing this innovation. This technique, hopefully, would be useful both for teachers and pupils in the teaching-learning process, especially during Catch-up Fridays. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher conducted experimental research. The subjects of the study were 36 Grade V pupils. In conducting this study, the researcher employed pre-test and post-test design. She also considered using experimental and control groups to determine its effectiveness. The result of the data gathered showed that there was a significant difference between the posttest scores of experimental and control groups. The main factor to which this can be attributed is the improvement of the scores as well as the interest and motivation of the pupils as brought about using Project SRB. The researcher’s experience motivated her to recommend the use of Project SRB and to utilize the action plan to maximize the benefits of using this intervention.
