OF TAAL

MAY JOY L. DE VILLA

This study investigated the utilization of instructional strategies by high school teachers at Rizal College of Taal during the 2024-2025 academic year. Employing a descriptive research design, the study involved 45 high school teachers as participants. Data was collected and analyzed using statistical methods such as frequency, rank, weighted mean, and Pearson Correlation to determine the extent to which teachers employed various instructional strategies and identify the factors influencing their choices. This research aimed to provide insights into the current pedagogical practices within the high school department and inform potential professional development initiatives.

The findings revealed that high school teachers at Rizal College of Taal utilize a wide range of instructional strategies to a significant degree, demonstrating a strong understanding of diverse pedagogical approaches. Furthermore, teachers acknowledged the influence of personal, peer, student, organizational, and technological factors on their adaptation of these strategies. Notably, a strong correlation was found between the teachers' utilization of instructional strategies and both personal and student factors, underscoring the impact of individual teacher beliefs and responsiveness to student needs in shaping classroom practices. This emphasizes the importance of personalized teaching approaches and the need for teachers to be reflective practitioners, adapting their strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of their students.

Despite facing challenges in managing instructional strategies, teachers strongly agreed on the critical role of student engagement, technological resources, and effective classroom management in successful implementation. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of a comprehensive Faculty Development Program focused on enhancing instructional strategies and addressing the identified influencing factors. This program should provide opportunities for teachers to further refine their pedagogical skills, explore innovative teaching methods, and effectively integrate technology into their classrooms, ultimately leading to improved teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
