“TrabAral:” AN EXPLORATORY STUDY ON THE LIVED EXPERIENCESOF WORKING SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABSTRACT

The study was conducted to explore and narrate the lived experiences of the working senior high school students in the division of Bacoor City.  The researcher employed the qualitative-phenomenological design which involved a phenomenological study of the lived experiences of ten (10) working senior high school students in the Division of Bacoor City. After translating and transcribing the interview, five (5) themes were revealed.  The result of the study yielded the following themes; Theme 1 - Resilience towards tiredness, starvation, and sleepiness, Theme 2 - Valuing education, Theme 3 - Enduring the hardships, Theme 4 - Manifestation of determination and Theme 5 - Desire for better living.  The study was limited to the lived experiences of ten (10) working senior high school students in the division of Bacoor City.  This qualitative study employed the phenomenological research design to describe the lived experiences of the participants.  Thematic coding was used to interpret the data gathered from transcribed interviews which completely deviates from the usual statistical treatment in quantitative researches.
