THE EFFECT OF POWERPOINT PRESENTATION IN

HIV-AIDS AWARENESS IN BARANGAY COGUNAN,

NASUGBU, BATANGAS

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effect of PowerPoint presentation in HIV-AIDs awareness in Barangay Cogunan, Nasugbu, Batangas. This quantitative research used the descriptive and correlation designs. The researcher used sampling formula for the selection of the respondents and prepared a set of questions for interview and survey based on the statement of the problem, guided by research adviser and validated by selected professionals in Rural Health Unit. The respondents of the study is composed of 169 male and 104 female. 41.4 % of the respondents are ranging eighteen (18) years old and below, 59.6 % are married, 63.7 % are employed, 52.7 % are college graduate and undergraduate. The respondents are somewhat aware in terms of knowledge acquisition concerning the impact of CAI, having an average of 3.01 (SD =0.618). With regards with the relevance and appropriateness of instruction to HIV-AIDS, the respondents are somewhat aware, which resulted in an average of 2.98 (SD = 0.620). The respondents are somewhat aware, garnering an average of 3.00 (SD = 0.579), in accordance with the structured learning on the impact of CAI in HIV-AIDS. There is a significant difference in the perceptions of the respondents on the impact of PowerPoint presentation when profile is considered. The computed P-value of 0.0000 of age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, occupation and religion are all less than the level of significant at 0.05.
