STRONGER

REGINA A. SEBASTIAN

· Volume IV Issue I

Fear engulfed the light of days

perplexed of what we have to face

Life was like a bird in cage

Wings of freedom has decayed

Uncertain if there’s tomorrow

The world was in deep sorrow

Hearts felt the worst of pain

Tears poured heavier that rain

We fought, survived, and thrived

No matter how hard was life

Dwelled in the light of hope

Held tighter to the rope

Our goodwill and desire to unite

Brought us to what is right

We started to see the gleaming light

The tunnel’s end is in our sight

Even dark days aren’t over

We are never to surrender

For love is our power

We will rise stronger.
