PARENTAL SUPPORT TOWARD ENHANCING PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN

ABSTRACT

Involving parents in school’s project and program plays a vital role and have positive variable on children’s academic performance. It has been demonstrated to be a key factor for children’s academic outcomes. Parents matter greatly for their child’s development and enhance academic performance in school and improve life condition Yet there are no Proofs that guarantee that this action will surely raise successful children. Parental involvement in their children’s’ education provide a that they have or receive to help young children get ready to succeed in school. The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of parental support to the study habits of Grade 10 TLE learners. Likewise, the study covered the description of students’ performance relative to assignments completed; submitted projects; and classroom and laboratory participation. In addition to these, the present study looked into the prime types of parental support received by students as well as the challenges the respondents met 

Results shows that the performance of the respondents, relative to classroom participation are in to a very great extent. Open communication between children and parents under psychological factor delves to the prime type of support received by the respondents from their parents. On the other hand, time allotment for doing home works and studying/reviewing without house hold chores given is the prime challenges met by the respondents. Proposed plan of action must be utilized to encourage parents to continuously support their Childs’ schooling are the recommendation offered by this study.
