LEVEL OF ACCEPTABILITY OF K TO 12 CURRICULUM OF TEACHERS AND PARENTS OF NASUGBU WEST CENTRALSCHOOL, NASUGBU, BATANGAS

Abstract
This study used the descriptive research to identify the level of acceptability of K to 12 curriculum of teachers and parents of Nasugbu West Central School, Nasugbu, Batangas : Input to a proposed action plan
The respondents of the study were fifteen (15) grade one teachers and fifty ( 50 ) grade one parents. Teacher- respondents were randomly selected from the population of the said school.
Questionnaire was the main instrument in this study. Statistics such as mean, percentage, weighted mean and ranking, and t-test were utilized. The following were the findings of the study: Most teachers in Nasugbu West Central School were of their middle age, female, married, baccalaureate holder and still young in service. Most parent - respondents were of their middle age, female, married and high school graduate. The teachers assessed that they much accepted the curriculum content and both teachers and parents assessed that they much accepted the time requirements per areas, core academic areas, language used as medium of instructions and the grading system. There was no significant difference in the responses of the teacher-respondents regarding their level of acceptability of the K to 12 curriculum when grouped according to their profile variables. There was no significant difference in the responses of the parent -respondents regarding their level of acceptability of the K to 12 curriculum when grouped according to profile variables. There was a significant difference between the responses of the two group of respondents on their level of acceptability of the K To 12 curriculum. The proposed action plan to enhance the level of acceptability of the K To 12 curriculum was designed by the researcher.
