ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine of the effects of rice bran, and corn kernel diet on the egg yield, weight, and size of commercial laying hens. The researcher divided the group of hens into two (3 hens per group) – each of the group were administered one form of diet. The 1st group were administered with a pure rice bran diet, the 2nd group were administered with pure corn kernel die, both administered in the course of 60 days. At the end of the observation period, both treatment group yielded no eggs. Therefore, a pure corn kernel diet, and a pure rice bran diet negatively affected the egg-laying ability of the hens. Furthermore, both diets should be incorporated with other feed materials in order to attain the nutritional structure and content for egg yielding.
