ABSTRACT
This study examines the readiness of students in TVL strand from Balayan Senior High School for work immersion. Specifically, study investigates their technical skills, soft skills, and emotional readiness for real-world immersion experience. Descriptive is used in research design. Surveys are used to assess the student abilities related to communication, confidence, task performance, and professional work ethics. Main findings indicate that in general students possess good communication skills, professionalism, attendance, and work ethic. However, findings reflected some deficiencies that were noted among students in relation to their technical skills, dependency on supervision, as well as issues regarding communication. Additionally, students need to be more engaged in hands-on experiences and become self-directed learners to better prepare students to meet the occupational responsivity. Furthermore, although students have noted their emotional preparedness, there are some issues that will arise related to professional culture, timing, and performance expectations. The findings suggest that bridging the gap between academic preparation and workplace application is indeed a key step towards improving student's readiness. In recommendations, Balayan Senior High School needs to implement a formal pre-immersion program, with an integrated learning approach to focus on improving the technical field and the soft skills. Practical learning experiences, simulated immersion experiences, and exposure to professionals in the field, all should be a part of those types of projects. These strategies would help the students for work immersion, ensuring that students would be confident, competent, and flexible in authentic work environments. These preparations will assist in transitioning students from theoretical components to actual workplace experiences.
