ABSTRACT
Learning materials play a significant role in enhancing the teaching and learning process in Araling Panlipunan. This study aimed to determine how learning materials are utilized in teaching Araling Panlipunan and to use the findings as a basis for developing intervention activities that can improve students’ understanding of the subject. Specifically, the study examined the types of learning materials commonly used by teachers, the level of their utilization, and the challenges encountered during instruction. A descriptive research design was employed, using a survey questionnaire administered to selected teachers. The results revealed that teachers frequently utilize textbooks, visual aids, multimedia presentations, and contextualized materials to facilitate learning. However, limitations such as insufficient resources, lack of updated materials, and time constraints affect the effective use of these resources. Based on the findings, the study proposes the development of intervention materials that are engaging, accessible, and aligned with the learning competencies in Araling Panlipunan. These materials aim to support teachers in delivering more effective instruction and to enhance students’ comprehension and participation in the learning process. The study highlights the importance of providing adequate and well-designed instructional materials to strengthen the teaching of Araling Panlipunan.
