TEACHING STRATEGIES AND PRACTICES OF NON-PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN TEACHING MAPEH TO MEDIUM AND LARGE SCHOOL OF

ABSTRACT

This study was focused on the teaching strategies and practices of Non-Physical Education teachers in teaching MAPEH to Medium and Large schools of Balayan East District, Balayan, Batangas. A descriptive quantitative research that sought to find out the most efficient and effective teaching strategies and practices of Non–Physical Education teacher in teaching MAPEH. The tool used to accumulate the data was the selfconstructed questionnaire. There were one hundred five (105) elementary and secondary teachers who served as respondents. The results of the study were: majority of the teachers strongly agreed on assessing and evaluating their learners with fairness and honesty, maintaining a learning environment with courtesy and respect for different learners in MAPEH, helping the learners to reflect on their attitudes, beliefs, and behavior in learning MAPEH and developing the level of performance of the students by praising and giving positive comments on their small-good deeds, and contributing to the development of the moral of the students through proper guidance. There was a significant relationship between the Strategies and Practices used by the Non-Physical Education Teachers to be efficient and effective in teaching MAPEH. Consequently, the null hypothesis was rejected. This implies that strategies and practices in teaching are interconnected with one another to be efficient and effective in teaching MAPEH. The Teaching Strategies and Practices Program were designed by the researcher to enrich and enhance the performances of the teachers in the field of teaching.
