PRODUCTIVITY ENABLERS AND SATISFACTION ON JOB PERFORMANCE AMONG CITY ACCOUNTING AND INTERNAL CONTROL OFFICE EMPLOYEES

ABSTRACT

The primary goal of this research was to assess the level of manifestation of productivity enablers among employees of the City Accounting and Internal Control Office of the Calamba City Government in Laguna in terms of creative energy, focus, motivation, aptitude, and ideal time, as well as the level of satisfaction on job performance in terms of quality, efficiency, and timeliness. The research also aimed to assess the impact of productivity enablers on employee job performance. The data were statistically processed using weighted mean, Likert-scale, and multiple linear regression analysis to quantify the impact in this study, which used the descriptive correlational method with a quantitative impact analysis design. Respondents of the study were the heads and clients of City Accounting and Internal Control Office of City Government of Calamba, Laguna.

The findings revealed that productivity enablers were highly manifested among employees. The significant difference on the probability values for creative energy and ideal time were .023, and .039, respectively, all of which were less than the level of significance at .05. Whereas, the probability values of focus, motivation, and aptitude were determined to be greater than the level of significance, indicating no significant difference. On the level of satisfaction on job performance, very satisfactory general assessment was obtained from the respondents (heads and clients) in terms of quality, efficiency, and timeliness. In terms of timeliness, there was a significant difference in the heads' and clients' assessments of satisfaction on job performance among employee of the City Accounting and Internal Control Office, but none on quality or efficiency. There was significant relationship between the level of manifestation of productivity enablers and level of satisfaction on job performance. Finally, focus and motivation had a considerable impact on job quality and efficiency, while motivation had a high impact on job timeliness. The proponent prepared and presented an action plan to the City Accounting and Internal Control Office of the Calamba City Government in Laguna. The action plan's outcomes may include improving job knowledge and skills, fostering collaboration, aiding in measuring results, encouraging initiative in problem solving, strengthening interpersonal interactions, influencing work habits, and enhancing workforce supervision and management.
