ABSTRACT

Birth is a method, or a way for women to give a child life. It was beautiful and fun to see the baby come out of her mother's womb. It was a painful but satisfying feeling that cannot be forgotten inside the women.

Both men and women viewed the cycle of conception as a "usual" or "routine" occurrence, and believed that conception was the "ordinary rite of passage" of a woman. Some triggers can affect the choice of birth place. Traditional effects, including local recognition of the sickness etiology and externally oriented control loci, play complex but important roles in accommodating the place of distribution decision taking.

Women regarded facilities as the safest and most appropriate venue, assuming facilities will produce positive results. Furthermore, women who valued the expertise of traditional health workers and regarded them as "well-, professional and caring" "experts" who delivered "successful emergency services" were likely to transcend multiple obstacles in facilities to delivery.

The goal of this study was to assess and discover Barangay Aga resident's perception of home delivery and facilities-based delivery. It was important to all women irrespective of their age. This work collected knowledge on the cause oh why and how to give birth. Three hundred and twenty (320) respondents were picked from the survey questionnaire used in data collection. Frequency and percentage distribution, weighted mean and standard deviation were statistical measures used to be used in this analysis. The following were taken from study results. The majority of respondents were within the 26-range, and most of them were high school graduates with a monthly earnings of 1001-pesos. The respondents disagreed with their understanding of home delivery, and decide on delivery based on facility. There was a significant gap in respondent’s views when clustered according to profile variables. The proposed program of birth delivery strategies was designed by the researcher to enhance awareness about home delivery and facilities based delivery.
