ABSTRACT

This study explores the significant role of parental involvement in shaping the academic performance and study habits of graduating ABM students at Balayan Senior High School. Findings reveal a strong agreement among students that parental supervision, encouragement, and active interaction are key drivers of their motivation, discipline, and overall participation in both home and school settings. The research highlights that students highly value their parents' support, particularly practices such as providing conducive study environments, monitoring time management, assisting with tasks, and offering consistent encouragement. These supportive actions are consistently rated as highly important by the students. The study underscores the direct link between parental engagement and enhanced student motivation, improved study habits, and active participation in class, ultimately contributing to academic success. Based on the findings, several recommendations are proposed to further strengthen parental support.

Parents are encouraged to maintain regular communication with teachers to coordinate efforts, stay informed about school resources and events, and create well-organized home environments conducive to studying.

Tailoring involvement to meet the evolving needs of their children, fostering open dialogue, and balancing accountability with autonomy are also emphasized. Consistent encouragement, structured study environments, collaborative goal setting, and routine progress check-ins are identified as effective strategies to enhance academic motivation and sustain performance.
