ABSTRACT

Learning numeracy is very helpful to each one of us on dealing with our daily activities.

However, based on research there were still some skills where some students have low level of numeracy. Students found difficult in some areas. Despite the teachers selected the best strategies still they got low because they were affected due to the numeracy skills.

The problems of low numeracy skills of students will cause different problems. Community has been one of the affected areas if the students in the are poor in mathematics

In connection with that, the researcher has noted that if these deficiencies are not addressed, everything would become a significant issue. The data shows that there were more female tutees included in the project, most of them were 10 years old and 11 years old and 12 of them were in grade 5 level. Based on the crafted materials, 19 tutees were added to the advanced level of numeracy. 18 tutees do not ask questions whenever they cannot compute easily. The result shows that there is significant relationship between the level of numeracy and their interest. The worksheet and innovation were utilized. Based on the findings of the study, most numbered of Tutees included in the project Math-Tutok were in the Grade 5 level. After the implementation of the project, most numbered of tutees were promoted to advanced level of numeracy.
