It was modified and on suggestions of the experts to gather the necessary data and the information needed in this study. Frequency, Percentage, Weighted Mean, Standard Deviations, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, General Linear Model and linear regression were employed as statistical tools for the purpose of this study.

Findings

Based on the data gathered, most of the respondents were female with the total distribution of female respondents from the three schools consist of 93 or 52.54% of the total population of 177 while male are 84 or 47.46%, which describes that female is dominant than male, most of them have 2 to 5 number of siblings while few of them have 6 to 8 number of siblings. The results described that most of the family monthly income ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 pesos. It can be gleaned from the BMI distribution of the respondents both male and female most of them belongs to normal status and some were wasted and none were severely wasted and their academic performance are approaching proficiency. The hypothesis stating that there is no significant relationship between the student level of agreement on factors of migration and their academic performance is partly rejected. The null hypothesis, there is no moderating effect between the relationships of all the indicators of migration factor towards learners’ academic performance is accepted.

Recommendations

Based on the finding and conclusions the researcher suggested or recommended of the following: Though the results of this study shown non significance relationship between the migration factors and learners’ academic performance, there is a need to consider the findings of other studies that family separation caused by international migration leads to decreased student motivation and engagement which caused negative effects to the learners’ academic performance.

The concern authority may conduct awareness campaign program for the migrant learners including their parents for them to fill the acceptance. Seminar workshop may be conducted for the school with large numbers of migrated learners for them to increased motivation and engagement in terms of educational aspects. There is a need for further study with broader scope since this study only covers selected school in a certain community. And lastly, the implementation of proposed action plan is recommended.
