ABSTRACT
This study assessed the instructional practices of General Education faculty at PHINMA-Rizal College of Laguna during the Academic Year 2025 to 2026. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design, the study systematically documented the current pedagogical landscape without variable manipulation. Data were gathered from a total enumeration of 20 faculty members, representing a 100 percent response rate, using a validated researcher-made survey questionnaire. The instrument evaluated three primary dimensions including respondent profiles, levels of instructional practices in pedagogy, ICT, and assessment, and the specific challenges encountered by the faculty.
The findings revealed that the General Education faculty is primarily composed of young, female educators in the early stages of their careers who are actively pursuing graduate studies. Results indicated that the professors demonstrate a very great extent of proficiency in overall instructional practices, showing particular strength in assessment, feedback, and real-world content delivery. Statistical analysis further established a very strong and significant association between the educators' profiles, specifically age, educational attainment, and years of service, and the quality of their instructional delivery, confirming these factors as critical predictors of pedagogical sophistication.
Despite high levels of competence, the study identified significant operational hurdles, most notably heavy administrative workloads and unstable internet connectivity. While the professors excelled in traditional delivery, there remains a need for deeper integration of culturally responsive examples and real-time interactive digital tools. To address these gaps, an action plan was proposed focusing on localized pedagogy, gamified ICT integration, and workload optimization. This strategic roadmap aims to transition the faculty toward institutional excellence by fostering a more resilient and learner-centered educational environment.
