ABSTRACT
This study, entitled ‘’Impact of Field Experience on Career Preparedness of TVL Strand Students in Balayan Senior High School’’, examined how field experiences such as work immersion contribute to the knowledge, skills, and career aspirations of Grade 12 students Using a quantitative-descriptive research design, researchers gathered data from 152 TVL students determined through Raosoft calculator with 5 percent margin of error and 90 percent confidence level. Validated online survey questionnaire that features a 4-point Likert scale was administered, the results were analyzed using weighted mean and descriptive statistics. Findings revealed that field experiences enhanced students’ career readiness and employability (GWM = 3.50, Strongly Agree). Immersion programs improved adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional confidence. Field experiences shaped career aspirations (GWM = 3.42, Strongly Agree), providing clearer career paths and stronger motivation. Application of knowledge and skills was evident (GWM = 3.41, Strongly Agree), especially in workplace safety, communication, and time management. Field experience challenges and its effect on career preparedness were encountered (GWM = 3.34, Strongly Agree), but these were seen as opportunities for growth, making students aware of areas for improvement. The study concludes that field experiences significantly impact the career aspirations and readiness of TVL students. Also, immersion enhances employability, strengthens technical and soft skills and fosters adaptability to face the expectations of future careers. Recommendations include strengthening industry partnerships, enhancing pre-immersion orientations, providing support systems, aligning training with industry demands, and organizing peer-sharing sessions. These steps aim to improve learning outcomes and career preparedness of TVL students.
