This study aims to develop an enhancement plan for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) of Alalum National High School. A descriptive qualitative-quantitative approach was employed. Data were gathered from the school’s GPP profile and terminal reports covering three consecutive school years (2021–2022 to 2023–2024). To further capture implementation challenges, informal interviews and surveys were conducted with 15 teachers, 20 randomly selected students from Grades 8 to 10, and 10 parents drawn from attendance records.
Findings revealed that the school’s GPP consistently expanded in land area and crop production each year. Traditional gardening practices were utilized alongside the maintenance of a school nursery and medicinal garden. Harvested vegetables were used to supplement the school feeding program and served as ingredients for Cookery classes in Grades 9 and 10. Moreover, the GPP functioned as a hands-on learning laboratory for both students and teachers.
Based on these results, an enhancement plan for the GPP of Alalum National High School was developed to serve as a guideline for ensuring the program’s long-term sustainability. Continuous monitoring and further evaluation are recommended to strengthen and improve its implementation.
