ABSTRACT
The purpose of this is to assess the educational implications of having strong free Wi-Fi access to Balayan Senior High School. Technology, connectivity, and being connected have emerged as fundamental tools in modern educational settings for communication, collaboration, and access to academic resources. To support the increasing role of e-learning, this research targeted the impact of stable Wi-Fi connection outside the classroom on students' performance, study behavior and online engagement. The research design employed was quantitative-descriptive, and had 112 ABM students as participants. The research employed a structured online survey tool shared on Google Forms, which consisted of items with contingent responses and multiple-choice as well as 4-point Likert scale questions. Weighted mean descriptive analysis was employed to determine the students' perception of Wi-Fi connectivity in the institution. Most respondents concurred that a free and strong Wi-Fi connection has a positive learning effect primarily enhancing research, enhancing submission of tasks and facilitating effective communication among group members. While it bears a number of advantages, the research also identified challenges such as overdependence on the internet, uneven access to devices, and diversion caused by activities outside the learning environment. To conclude, the research points to the fact that consistent Wi-Fi connectivity is an important learning tool that enhances students' academic performance, motivation, and engagement. The research recommends that Balayan Senior High School upgrade its Wi-Fi facilities and promote responsible and balanced use of the internet to further enhance students' online learning experiences.
