ABSTRACT

The researcher assessed the level of awareness and understanding of teaching and non-teaching personnel on the DepEd Provident Fund Loan. The researcher utilized the descriptive method for this research undertaking. The Likert scale-type survey questionnaire served as the main instrument in gathering the data wherein it revealed that out of 169 respondents, 136 respondents who are teaching and non-teaching personnel in the City Schools Division of Tanauan are aware of this DepEd Provident Fund Loan.Majority of the respondents who haven’t availed of the DepEd Provident Fund Loan comprised 103 respondents or 60.9 percent. They are aware of the Provident Loan but do not avail the loan. Sixty – six (66) or 39.1 percent of the respondents availed of the loan. It was also revealed that out of 21 non-teaching personnel in the Division, 11 of them availed the loan while fifty – five (55) out of the one hundred forty -eight (148) teaching personnel availed the DepEd Provident loan. The survey tool comprised some concepts that were lifted from DepEd Orders issued in relation to the DepEd Provident Loan. Based on the collective findings from the research questions, a Financial Management Plan is proposed.
